wedding makeup - non-binary and/or gender non-conforming spouses
it can be difficult to find someone who understands identities outside the gender binary, let alone someone with the skills and empathy to help you express who you really are. liam wants to help you look your most you on your wedding day. whether you want contouring to create a more masculine or feminine appearance, or an alien and exotic androgynous look, liam will work with you to make it happen. price on application (depending upon your needs and wants).

learn the best techniques for your features and colours for your complexion. you'll end up with a full face look and your own face chart for reference. -

learn great application techniques, basic colour theory, and have fun with your friends. everyone ends up with a full face look and face chart. -
gender affirming makeup lesson $90
offered at cost as a service to our rainbow community. trans-feminine individuals can learn feminine contouring and makeup application. trans-masculine individuals can learn masculine contouring, stubble application, and male facial hair grooming. whatever you need to learn to help you appear your authentic self. liam will provide everything needed for your lesson, and will start you off with some samples. -
personal shopping $250
buying makeup can be a minefield! liam will take you out and about for a three hour shopping trip in palmerston north. liam will pick you up, drop you off, shout you a coffee, and teach you what and how to buy. we'll cover the staples you'll always need, and explore the tricky world of trends. learn what's what, and what's wow with your very own personal shopper.additional travel costs will apply for individuals located outside 20km of kelvin grove, palmerston north. -
personal shopping for transitioning individuals POA
if you're transitioning, you might be missing the know-how or the confidence to shop for makeup on your own. liam is a member of our rainbow community, and will support you as you learn to shop for cosmetics. liam will pick you up, drop you off, shout you a coffee, and provide practical lessons and moral support. additional travel costs will apply for individuals located outside 20km of kelvin grove, palmerston north.
liam is available as a speaker and to provide makeup application lessons for lgbtqia+ and trans-speacific organisations. please contact him for more information.
liam richard-howes (he/him or they/them) loves makeup. he firmly believes that makeup should be fun and make you look and feel like your best self. they are an imua graduate, drag race fan, colour wizard, and proud makeup weearing man. liam adheres to the philosophy that makeup is for everyone, and he isn't afraid to go bold or go home. he works on all ages and skin tones, and has a curated collection of cruelty free products and colours suitable for any and all skintones. liam is a consultant for nutrimetics, and enjoys their new zealand made skincare and makeup.

liam lives with his husband and three shih tzus, and tries his hardest to be in charge of the house. when he isn't doing makeup, liam enjoys travelling (when covid allows), interior design, exploring new food experiences, and hanging out at home with the dogs. (and husband.)
